  • Hi, my name is Netanya, but you can call me Tanya. I recently moved to Michigan because one of my parents is in the military. I have lived all over the world and in multiple states my whole entire life, so I can say I’m pretty familiar with seasons of rapid change and finding belonging. I want this Bible study to be a place for young women to have a place to belong and build sisterly bonds through Christ Jesus. I know how it feels to never be noticed or never have a friend to help you feel like you belong or have that sisterly bond that some of us long for. From the daily hangouts to the movies, or simply having someone to teach you how to do your hair or encourage you on your toughest day. We can be encouraged by social media, but I believe nothing is stronger than having a sisterly community. I want young women to find their purpose in Christ within themselves rather than having the ways of the world define them. If you feel led, broken, or lonely, remember you are welcomed and come as you are.I have been to so many churches growing up, and there was never a Bible study group for just young women. It hurt me because so many girls felt like they couldn’t find their purpose or what God wanted for them unless they were dating, married, or even a mother.I truly believe God has a purpose for us as young women to follow His will and have joy in our right now, before He prepares us for our next season.Even though Christ-like sisterhood is shared on social media, and that is great to be encouraged there, having an in-person sisterhood speaks volumes. There is nothing better than having a sister personally pray for you, hug you, and encourage you in this walk of faith.Firstly, i love Jesus and my family. I love to travel! I love music and dancing 💃, especially DWTS. Sometimes dancing the cha-cha just brings me joy. I love dogs. I lived in Hawaii for 6 years and Germany for 4 years.
